Other truck shops

Truck leasing/rental companies, construction/mining/ refuse haulers, van truckers, buses, agriculture haulers, and private and for-hire carriers usually operate their own service shops. A recent trend led by one major OEM has been to run lube and running-repair facilities at the rest stops on major interstate highways. These shops are usually equipped to handle no more than basic vehicle servicing, brake adjustments, and minor electrical repairs, but it should be noted that this type of work represents a significant segment of the truck service industry.
