[HW16]  Heavy single reduction drive axle

┃Characteristic                                                            

     The study on the matching of the entire axle structure and its performance was carried out based on introducing Meritor key technology and SITAIER axle assembly.

     The strength and intensity of the main carrier assembly are enhanced which adopts central single hyperboloid gear reducer. Differential gear adopts finely forged gear.
     Axle housing is made by press-welding with larger square section which is connected with the joint by friction welding which is the most advanced method in the world.
     Hub construction is reinforced. Full float type axle shaft is equipped with flange in order to make it easy be produced and assembled and the sealing is reliable.
     The brake is of press-welded steel plate type of which width is enlarged and adopts thickened friction lining of non-equal thickness.
     Hub bearing is lubricated with lubricant but not grease. It can be maintained without disassembly. Meanwhile oil cavity and the oil cavity of the main carrier are connected so the running condition of hub bearing is improved greatly and use life is extended.
     The axle has advantages below: reliable construction, big loading torque, long life, light mass, high efficiency, low fuel consumption and easy to maintenance.
 

 

Options                                                            

    2 speed ratios can be selected: 4.22/3.73.

    Option: ABS, auto slack adjustment arm etc.

 

 

Application                                                            

    The basic configuration of HOWO series on-road vehicle is especially suitable for transportation on express way and road above class II.
